Dr. Ayman Elnahry

Dr. Ayman Elnahry is a highly trained retinal surgeon and ocular oncologist with fellowship training from the National Eye Institute and Bascom Palmer Eye Institute—two of the nation’s premier centers for eye care and research. He also holds a PhD in Ophthalmology from Cairo University and brings more than a decade of focused experience in ocular oncology, vitreoretinal surgery, uveitis, and clinical research.

His training is further strengthened by advanced study at respected institutions including the Scheie Eye Institute at the University of Pennsylvania, Lahey Clinic at Tufts University, Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine, and Kasr Alainy Hospital at Cairo University. Dr. Elnahry has authored over 80 peer-reviewed publications and has been actively involved in numerous clinical trials, reflecting a strong commitment to advancing patient care through research.

An active member of both the American Society of Retina Specialists and the American Academy of Ophthalmology, Dr. Elnahry remains deeply engaged in the continued advancement of his field.

He joins Retina Vitreous Center in April 2026 and brings his advanced training and academic background to serve patients across Oklahoma, with a focus on delivering precise, evidence-based retinal care using the most current technologies.

When he is not at work, he enjoys spending time with his family, playing sports, traveling, and reading.
